Karmasphere Expands Board Of Directors With Addition Of Debby Meredith

Brings Broad Set of Operational Skills and Proven Expertise in Development and Delivery of Software Products to “All-Star” Board

Menlo Park, CA – August 18, 2010 – Karmasphere™, the leader in Big Data Intelligence software, today announced that veteran Silicon Valley product engineering manager, Debby Meredith, has joined its board of directors. Meredith brings to the Karmasphere board over 20 years of proven experience in managing the development and delivery of new software-based technologies and a broad set of related operational skills.

Meredith joins existing board members: Martin Hallend_of_the_skype_highlighting, co-founder and CEO of Karmasphere; Ann Winblad, managing director at Hummer Winblad Venture Partners; David Liddle, partner at USVP; and Gail Ennis, formerly CMO of Omniture (now an Adobe company).

Meredith brings a wealth of experience managing product engineering teams and bringing new technologies to market, including working hands-on with company founders, helping to assemble world-class teams, architecting software products, and establishing roadmaps for operational success. Meredith often works with start-up companies as interim VP of Engineering, interim CEO or an advisor. Also, she works with Jafco Ventures as a Venture Partner, and previously she was a Venture Partner with Mohr, Davidow Ventures (MDV).

Earlier in her career, Meredith held a variety of technical and general management positions at America Online/Netscape, including senior vice president of Strategic Technologies and Products, vice president of Browser Products and Chief Quality Officer. Prior to Netscape, she was vice president of engineering for Collabra Software and vice president of development at Slate Corporation. Meredith also held key technical positions at Metaphor Computer Systems, Logitech and Bell Laboratories.

Meredith earned a Master’s degree in computer science from Stanford University. She received her undergraduate degree in computer science and mathematics from the University of Michigan.
