Gail Ennis, Formerly CMO At Omniture, Joins Karmasphere Board Of Directors
Brings Deep Executive-Level Sales and Marketing Expertise in Helping Customers Use Data for Competitive Advantage
Menlo Park, CA—May 26, 2010 –Karmasphere™, a big data intelligence software company bringing Apache Hadoop power to developers and analysts, today announced that Gail Ennis, formerly chief marketing officer at Omniture (now an Adobe company), has joined the Karmasphere board of directors. Ennis joins board members Martin Hall, co-founder and CEO of Karmasphere, Ann Winblad, managing director at Hummer Winblad, and David Liddle, partner at USVP.
Ennis, a 20-year technology industry veteran, brings to Karmasphere deep domain expertise and executive-level leadership in scaling successful, high-growth, global technology companies. Ennis served as CMO of Omniture for close to five years, helping grow the company from $20 million to over $350 million in the highly dynamic on- demand web analytics and online marketing industry. In addition to aggressive demand generation and community building initiatives, she also led the company’s launch of the Online Marketing Suite, the industry’s first integrated solution for data-driven marketing customer acquisition and conversion.
Earlier in her career Ennis held executive sales, marketing and business development positions at BEA Systems, Oracle Corporation and Pyramid Technology. Ennis holds a BS in Molecular Biology from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pa.
